THE MEMORIAL FUNDS EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Background: The Educational Scholarship Committee was established on June 25, 1992 by action by the session and was made a part of the Memorial Funds Committee by approval of session on October 25, 2005. It was renamed The Memorial Funds Educational Scholarships. Purpose: The Memorial Funds Educational Scholarships are designated to be used for persons seeking financial aid to further their education beyond high school. The scholarships are for those who have demonstrated Christian commitment through LCOP church membership as well as participation and service within the church. Scholarships are available for undergraduate, graduate, or seminary tuition in a bona fied educational institution. Amount: A maximum per applicant of $750 per quarter or $1,250 per semester. Expectations of Recipients: l. A letter or e-mail to the Memorial Funds Committee acknowledging receipt of the scholarship. 2. Willingness to share with the congregation, orally or in writing, progress made with the help of the scholarship. How to Apply: Complete the Application Form and either bring it to the LCOP office or mail it to the address on the form at least one month before the date the tuition is due. Revised 04/10
